The University’s chapter of Alpha Phi Omega, a national service fraternity, will host a Children's National Blood Drive Feb. 7 through Feb. 9 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.
The blood drives have been a staple for Alpha Phi Omega through the years, but were sidelined during the COVID-19 pandemic. Chapter president Molly Glynn said, “we are incredibly happy to be getting back to hosting Blood Drives regularly on campus.”
Glynn said there’s great satisfaction in helping others.
“When you give blood, you are giving someone a chance to live,” she said. “Donating blood to Children’s National Hospital, or any blood donation center, can help save people’s lives and there is a constant need for more. It is a simple, yet extremely important service to provide for our community.”
