Application Requirements

  • Online application (no application fee)
  • Official transcripts from previous colleges/universities 
  • Unofficial transcripts accepted for review
  • English Proficiency Test 

Recommended Documents in Support of the Application:

  • One letter of recommendation
    • An electronic recommendation form will be sent directly to the individual you indicate as your recommender on your application. Alternatively, if a recommender would like to send a letter directly to the University, it may be sent to em-operations@cua.edu.
  • Resume or CV
  • Professional Goal Statement

Please note: If your institution is able to provide an e-transcript, please direct them to send the official link to em-operations@cua.edu.

  4. Supply secondary school report with transcripts (translated)
  5. Review admission packet with visa information (within 4-6 weeks of completing application)

Once your application is complete, the admission evaluation and review process takes approximately four to six weeks for most programs. However, the process may take longer in certain programs.

When completing your address on your application, your permanent address must be your home country address, even if you are currently residing in the United States. Your mailing address should be the current location where you are residing. Do not list the United States address of a friend or relative.

  • Evaluation of students’ transcripts and credentials will be conducted by the University.
  • Once your application is complete, the evaluation and review process takes approximately 2-4 weeks (certain programs may have a longer evaluation and review process).
  • Official decision letters, immigration documents, and instructions for confirming your enrollment will be sent via email to the email address used on the admission application.
  • You can check your status at any time in your graduate application portal to see what documents we have received and what is still needed to complete your application.

Living and studying in Washington, D.C. is expensive. The exact cost varies considerably from person to person and from one degree program to another.
