The Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) Program is a 12-month, full-time program designed for individuals with a bachelor’s degree in a non-nursing field who are eager to transition into the nursing profession. Courses will be asynchronous while simulation labs and clinicals will be in person. This intensive three-semester program provides students with the knowledge, clinical experience, and skills needed to become a registered nurse (RN). Upon completion, graduates will earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and be eligible to sit for the NCLEX-RN® licensure exam.

The Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) program is a 56-credit-hour degree program — designed for individuals who already hold a bachelor’s degree in a non-nursing field.

The Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) curriculum is designed to provide students a comprehensive education as a competent nursing generalist that will prepare them to sit for the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN®). The curriculum for the ABSN program has been developed in accordance with the AACN Essentials of Baccalaureate Education for Professional Nursing Practice and the Washington, D.C. Board of Nursing standards.
