Let Us Help

As a composition major, you will develop your compositional technique and academic skills. You will spend two semesters in private study on a principal instrument or voice, and eight semesters of private composition lessons. You will graduate with a rigorous and thorough grounding in the compositional craft and in performance, integral parts of a compositional career.

In the Rome School of Music, Drama, and Art a minor typically requires 6 courses or 18 credit hours of coursework. Some degree programs can require additional credits.
