The Acoustics Certificate provides students with Graduate-level knowledge of sound and vibration. It covers the application of acoustics, the science of sound and vibration in technology, and includes ocean acoustics.  Also covers the design, analysis, and control of sound.

Catholic University has one of the oldest graduate acoustics programs in the US dating back to 1934. The program has graduated hundreds of MS and PhD students who work in Navy undersea systems, Acoustical Oceanography, biomedical ultrasound, architectural acoustics, and building materials.
