University Communications Wins 13 International Awards

The University’s Division of Communications team was recognized 13 times at the annual Catholic Media Conference on June 21 in Atlanta.

The Catholic Media Association annually hosts the conference and features awards highlighting journalism, communications, social media, and filmmaking.

The division received four first-place honors for communications campaigns (Keep Catholic Safe), magazine designs, and photography. In addition, the Catholic Media Association, which hosts the awards, also recognized the University’s magazine as the second-best alumni publication in North America.

“It’s fantastic to see how the team is growing and winning awards in a wide variety of categories, from social media to campaign design to documentary feature film, in addition to our traditional strengths in feature writing, photography, and design,” said Karna Lozoya, the Vice President for University Communications. “The awards reflect the team’s commitment to mission and excellence, as well as the caliber of the community we are privileged to serve.”
