Vice President for Athletics and Recreation
Kevin Robinson joined Catholic University in June 2023. Robinson comes to Catholic University with 24 years of experience in collegiate athletics under his belt, most recently serving as the Associate Director of Athletics for Advancement at Mount St. Mary’s University. Robinson took over that role in September 2021 after spending six years as the Director of Athletic Development at the Mount.
In his role, Robinson served the University in multiple different capacities including, but not limited to – University Leadership Initiatives, Athletic Development, Athletic Administration, External Relations, and Public Relations. As an Athletic Administrator, Robinson supervised Men’s Lacrosse and Men’s Soccer, chaired three head coach search committees, and served as a member of eight head coach search committees.
From 2017-2020, Robinson acted as the Project Leader for the partnership between Mount St. Mary’s, Under Armour, and Baltimore City middle schools to establish camps for underserved youth in Baltimore City.
Prior to his second stint at Mount St. Mary’s, Robinson was the Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach and Recruiting Coordinator at College of the Holy Cross from 2010-2015. In 2014, Holy Cross reached registered its first 20-win season and postseason appearance since 2007.
Robinson’s first stint at the Mount came from 2002-2010 as he served in a number of roles, starting as a Graduate Assistant for Learning Services and working as an Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach from 2003-10. Robinson served as the Recruiting Coordinator from 2007-10 and also spent a year as the Coordinator of Student-Athlete Development in 2006-07.
After four years as a player at St. Mary’s College of Maryland from 1995-99, Robinson stayed on as an Assistant until 2002. Robinson earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science before adding a Master’s of Arts in Teaching – Secondary Education in 2006.
