Severe Weather Notice Aug. 7

The National Weather Service has placed the D.C. region under a level 4-5 risk of severe weather today and estimates potentially damaging storms will reach the region starting at 4pm this afternoon. 

The University will close at 2pm. All classes will be canceled starting at 2pm.

All University buildings and facilities will close at 2pm, including Mullen Library, Edward J. Pryzbyla University Center, Eugene I. Kane Fitness Center, and Raymond A. DuFour Center. The Department of Athletics has canceled all activities scheduled for this afternoon.  

The University will allow non-essential staff to depart campus at 2pm for your safety. Please coordinate with your supervisor before leaving.

Please exercise caution while commuting. Contact campus security at 202-319-5111 for emergencies.
