"The main factor that sets apart Catholic University from any other university I was looking at was the community," said Englert. "I knew that I could have a lot of fun while also learning a lot, whether that be for my professional growth or for my faith growth."

Englert pursued a bachelor's degree in international business because she was attracted to The Busch School of Business' unique educational approach, incorporating Catholic values into the curriculum to train graduates to be a force for good.

"I wanted a place where I didn't have to feel like I was compartmentalizing my faith and my future career. And I think that's one of the main reasons why I chose Catholic," said Englert.

Arriving on campus knowing no one, she quickly discovered the many opportunities through the University and its Washington, D.C. location. She interned in the U.S. Senate, studied abroad at the University's Rome campus, and interned at management consulting company CBIZ.

Englert shared her passion for the University by serving as a Cardinal Ambassador throughout her undergraduate years, which also provided her with "a great community of people." She especially loved giving tours to prospective students where she could showcase her experiences and share why she loved it here.

Graduating magna cum laude with honors in liberal studies, Englert headed straight from commencement to a full-time job at data security and analytics pioneer Varonis Systems at its North Carolina location.

"I think my education has prepared me for my future career in many aspects. I've definitely grown as a person overall," she said, emphasizing the tight knit and supportive environment she encountered each day. "My professors have always had an open door for me."

Even more importantly, Englert knows she can count on the Cardinal community.

"Whether it's faculty and staff or students, I know that these people have become lifelong friends," she said. "I know I've built a support system... I can always fall back on them, that they're always going to be there for me even after I graduate."
