Catholic University President, Hundreds of Students to Participate in March for Life Events

Catholic University will continue its longstanding tradition of advocating for human dignity and supporting women as an official co-sponsor of the 2025 March for Life. University President Peter Kilpatrick will lead approximately 300 students to the March on Friday, January 24.

The two-day schedule of events includes:

  • National Mass for Life — Thursday, January 23, 5:00 p.m. 
    Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception 
    Catholic University students will serve as ushers at this full-capacity event.
     
  • Life Fest — Thursday, January 23, 7 p.m. & January 24, 8:00 a.m. 
    EagleBank Arena, Fairfax, VA 
    Catholic University is proud to serve as a sponsor for this event, with a "Night of Praise" featuring dynamic speakers and music, followed by a rally and Mass on Friday.
     
  • Cardinals for Life Pep Rally — Thursday, January 23, 8:10 p.m. 
    Pryzbyla Center Great Rooms (on campus) 
    Featuring testimonies from Sisters of Life and Father Malachy Napier, CFR, followed by sign-making and fellowship.
     
  • Gathering with University Community — Friday, January 24, 11:00 a.m. 
    Heritage Hall in Father O'Connell Hall (on campus) 
    Student group Cardinals for Life sponsor this pre-March gathering. Students will join President Kilpatrick for brief remarks, hot chocolate, and a blessing from University Chaplain Father Aquinas Guilbeau, O.P., before departing together for the March.

The University has a longstanding tradition of participation in the March, and supports pregnant and parenting students, faculty and staff through its campus-wide Guadalupe Project, which offers family-friendly policies and spiritual and practical resources.
